What We Do
The Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation began in 1963 and provides assistance for special needs children and their families. Last year more than 22,000 patient services were provided to special needs children at UNM Carrie Tingley Hospital.
Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation (CTHF) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of special needs children and their families. The cost of caring for an acutely injured or chronically ill child can be staggering and financially devastating. CTHF assists patients and their families with funding for critical items such as:
- wheelchair ramps
- van conversions
- durable medical or therapeutic medical equipment not covered by insurance
- emergency rent and utility assistance

At CTHF, we strive to assist families with their medical and daily living needs and also offer long-term assistance, education and programs through funding for research scholarships and quality of life programs such as a summer wheelchair sports camp and scholarships for therapeutic horseback riding and dance lessons. |
