Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CTHF has decided to take its camps program virtual! Virtual Camps will allow campers to enjoy and take part in all the fun and interactive programing from the safety of their homes. Each camper that registers will receive a Camp-in-a-Sac, filled with materials and supplies for the whole family to participate!

Camp supplies will be mailed to the address you register with, and a Zoom link will be provided the day before the event.

Camp Adventure.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Our camps are designed for children 6 to 19 years old with permanent physical disabilities and their siblings. Disabilities we accommodate include: cerebral palsy, spina bifida, amputation, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, etc. In order to keep our campers safe and provide them with the best environment to participate in adaptive sports, this camp will most benefit campers that can comprehend basic rules and safety aspects of sports and follow instructions.

If you have any questions as to whether this camp is appropriate for your child, contact us at jhabing@cthf.net or 505-243-6626.

WHAT ADAPTIVE SPORTS WILL BE OFFERED?

Sports vary by location and can include: wheelchair basketball, cycling, archery, rock wall climbing, dancing, arts, kayaking, swimming, golfing, and a variety of games and activities.

NURSING STATION

A qualified nurse is available daily for children requiring special medical attention.

WHO WILL BE ASSISTING MY CHILD?

Our camp staff has years of experience working with children with physical disabilities. Each child will be paired with a volunteer that best suits their needs. Camp volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. All staff and volunteers must pass a background check in order to participate.
